Located at 1007 Garnet Ave, San Diego, CA 92109, PB Phở & Grill operates as a vietnamese serving San Diego in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Google also lists it under pho restaurant, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.

Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In San Diego, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across California run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 11 am–11 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach PB Phở & Grill at (858) 291-8638; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, pbphogrill.com.

Customers rate it 4.4 out of 5 on Google across 507 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded vietnamese & pho in San Diego.

San Diego is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and San Diego follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Amazing food! I really like it and the proportions are big and the prices are great! The servers are nice, but they seemed to have a lot of work and not paying enough attention, especially when people were arriving. You’ll find a lot of different people

I had one of the worst restaurant experiences here. The employees were disrespectful and speaking with profanity loud enough for customers to hear. They acted irritated whenever we asked a question. We later noticed a 25% gratuity had been added to our bill without anyone informing us. When we asked about it, the employee simply said he didn’t care if we left a bad review. A few hours after eating here, my girlfriend became very sick with what appeared to be food poisoning. We won’t be returning.

It is my favorite pho restaurant in town! I go there often, and the food is consistently excellent. Their pho is always cooked perfectly, with a rich, flavorful broth and high-quality ingredients. I especially love that I can add vegetables in my soup and herbs, they add so much freshness and flavor to every bowl, making it very nutritious. My kids love it too, which is always a great sign. It’s one of our family’s favorite places to eat, and everyone always leaves happy. Especially with free guava candies after our meal:)

I’m not a food critic or influencer—just someone who really appreciates a good meal. And this one stuck with me. I ordered the lobster pho, and honestly, if I had to pick my last few meals, this would be somewhere in my top 10. The lobster itself was perfectly cooked—tender, sweet, and just felt like quality. But what really got me was the broth. It had this deep, rich flavor that you don’t usually get unless someone really knows what they’re doing. They added these slightly charred fried onions that gave it a smoky edge, and the green onions and aromatics tied everything together. Every bite (or sip) felt layered, not just salty or heavy like some places. It’s not trying to be flashy—it’s just really, really good food done right. I’d come back for this without hesitation.

The food was so yummy! The spring rolls were made fresh and the peanut sauce was absolutely delicious, with fresh peanuts ground in it. We also got the shrimp fried rice, lean brisket pho, and flat rice noodles with chicken. The sauces were fantastic for each dish. And the Thai tea was delicious. Service was quick and friendly. Would definitely go back for another meal! Thank you PB Pho & Grill team for a lovely lunch!
